President Uhuru Breaks Silence Amid Concerns Of His Whereabouts,Calls For Peace

 

Kenyans have been urged by President Uhuru Kenyatta to uphold peace during this time of transition.

“Kenya will continue to be consistent in establishing the ideals of good government,” Uhuru declared in a statement following his meeting with Senator Chris Coons.

The president declared his commitment to ensure that Kenya maintains its status as the continent’s shining example of democracy.

President Kenyatta stated, “My greatest wish is that peace would prevail and that we may serve as an example to the continent and the rest of the globe.”

Senator Coons paid Uhuru a visit at State House Nairobi on Thursday, and they spoke and had a meeting.

Senator Coons, who is in charge of a congressional delegation made up of members of the US Senate and House Representatives, praised President Kenyatta for ensuring that there was peace and calm during the election.

The peace that Kenya has maintained throughout this time gives us hope, said Senator Coons.

Cabinet Secretaries Raychelle Omamo (Foreign Affairs), Betty Maina (Trade), and Meg Whitman, among others, were also present throughout the discussions.
