Waruguru Cate Unveils Her Presidential Candidate After Losing UDA Nominations

Waruguru was seeking the UDA party ticket for Laikipia East parliamentary seat. She lost to the incumbent MP Amin Deddy Mohamed.

Laikipia Woman representative has now declared that she is deputy president William Ruto's supporter in the August 9th polls.

This is after she maintained silence for weeks after losing the UDA primaries held on April 14.

Since the loss, she went under sparking speculations about whether she could be back to the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance where she had been before joining the Kenya Kwanza Alliance team.

To allay the fears and set the record straight, Waruguru has shared Ruto's poster on which it is written "Ruto for president".

This now hints that Waruguru is still backing Ruto's presidential bid.

The Woman rep is yet to declare whether she will go as an independent or she will support the winner of the primaries.

Waruguru had served for one term as a woman rep before she chose to go for the Laikipia East MP seat.

TSP party leader Mwangi Kiunjuir is also eying the Laikipia East parliamentary seat.
